Job Title: Construction Tutor Location: York - Centre based Salary: up to £34,000 (Depending on skills and experience) Package: Excellent Holiday Entitlement, Pension + more Type: Full Time, Permanent Duties: Teach/assess learners working towards vocational qualifications up to CandG Level 2, within Multi-Skilled Construction (e.g. Carpentry, Plastering, Painting and Decorating, CSCS etc.), in a classroom-based environment. Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner s needs. Conduct daily tool/equipment checks, ensuring secure management protocols are met and that health and safety is prioritised at all times. Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners'' skills knowledge and behaviours Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews. Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression. Embedding of Maths and English into sessions. Criteria: Must hold solid, occupational experience of employment within the Construction industry across one or more of the following: Carpentry, Plastering, Painting, Decorating, Plumbing etc. Hold - or be willing to work towards - a recognised Teaching or Assessing qualification.
