Housing Allocations Officer
Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Allocations Officer for a Local Authority Client in Berkshire.In this role, you will assess housing applications, manage nominations, and provide housing advice in line with statutory housing legislation and local allocations policy.Duties:Assess housing applications in line with the Allocations Policy and relevant legislationManage the Housing Register and make direct nominations to suitable householdsApply Part 6 and Part 7 of the Housing Act when handling allocations and homelessness casesProvide clear housing advice and practical solutions to customers regarding their housing optionsQualifications and Experience:The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:Experience working with housing allocations and the Housing RegisterKnowledge of homelessness legislation and statutory housing dutiesFamiliarity with Part 6 and Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996Proven ability to provide housing advice and support toWhat''s on offer:Salary: 23ph may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extensionHours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per weekHow to apply:Once your CV is received, if you are successful, you will be contacted.Due to the extremely high number of applications, it may not be possible to contact every applicant.
