Red Sky Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering contractor, delivering high-value and complex projects across a variety of sectors. We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team and contribute to the success of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
The Role:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be an integral part of the project team, supporting the delivery of projects from £200k to £10m+. Your primary focus will be driving efficiencies, managing costs, and providing commercial analysis while mitigating business risks. You will play a key role in managing both the financial and contractual aspects of the projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit levels.
Cost management, project forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
Subcontract procurement, negotiation, and financial accounting.
Preparation of project applications for payment and final account settlement.
Liaison with clients and third parties on commercial matters, including contractual changes and claims.
Working with the project team to forecast predicted expenditure and cash recovery.
Identifying and realizing commercial opportunities while mitigating risks.
Managing contracts and subcontracts, primarily IChemE and NEC forms.
Supporting internal commercial processes, ensuring compliance and adherence to deadlines.

Requirements:
Previous experience in the construction industry.
Familiarity with IChemE/NEC forms of contract and knowledge of Construction Law.
Experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors.
Experience with monthly forecasting, cost analysis, and the preparation of commercial documentation.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong numerical skills.
Desirable:
Member of RICS or other relevant professional body, or working towards.
HND/degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying.
CSCS card.
Experience in estimation and direct delivery contracting.
