Long Term Futures is working with a Barking based school to recruit a Primary Teaching Assistant. This role is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and energetic individual to support young learners at the beginning of their educational journey.
You will work closely with class teachers to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where pupils can thrive both academically and socially. This long-term position is ideal for anyone looking to make a meaningful impact in a primary setting.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the class teacher in the daily management of the classroom and preparation of resources.
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis with core subjects like Literacy and Numeracy.
- Helping to implement tailored learning plans for students with additional needs.
- Supervising outdoor play and creative activities to encourage social development.
- Providing a safe and supportive presence to help build pupils'' confidence and independence.
Essential Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience working with primary-aged children (nursery, school, or community settings).
- A patient, caring, and encouraging approach to supporting young learners.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of school life.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Childcare/Education) are preferred but not essential.
