The Role of an Estimator Are you a driven individual looking for an opportunity as an Estimator?Do you possess the skills required to excel as an Estimator such as preparing quotes, organisation and the ability to efficiently liaise with suppliers and third parties?The main purpose of this role is support the process of managing and preparing quotes across all drainage disciplines, in addition to supporting the general objectives of a busy regional drainage business.Key Responsibilities of an Estimator Produce standard day to day quotes for minor repair and remedial works.Producing accurate, competitive and cost-effective estimates that include labour, materials and equipment required for projects.Produce remedial costings following review of CCTV surveys.Liaising with outside suppliers and subcontractors on technical data and prices.Assessment of specifications and working out relevant information and determine project scope.Monitor changes to project scope and adjust estimates accordingly.Use of estimating software toolsWork with suppliers to gain cost effective materials, plant and equipment required for proposals.
