Teaching Assistant (TA)

Start Date: ASAP / September
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support students in Chadderton. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students access learning and develop both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
Provide 1:1 or small group interventions for students with additional needs
Help implement behaviour support strategies and encourage positive engagement
Monitor student progress and report feedback to the teaching team
Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Must-Have Skills:
Experience working with children or young people (preferably in a school setting)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Patience, empathy, and ability to build rapport with students
Basic literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English & Maths or equivalent)
Good-to-Have Skills:
Experience supporting children with SEND, SEMH, or behavioural needs
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Ability to work collaboratively within a team
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification
First Aid or Team Teach training
Experience running small group activities or interventions
