We are looking to appoint an inspirational Head of English who, through expert teaching and leadership, builds strong relationships, which will secure even better outcomes across the department.

As Head of English at NUAST you will inspire our learners, and our teachers, to develop their love of the subject through innovative teaching and sharing your passion for the subject. You will enable students to achieve excellent outcomes and develop young people who strive to further their learning in English beyond A Level.

Responsibilities
Lead the English department through expert teaching and strategic leadership to secure improved outcomes.
Inspire learners and colleagues to develop a love of English through innovative teaching and sharing passion for the subject.
Foster strong relationships within the department and across the school to support student progress beyond GCSE and A Level.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience of teaching English at appropriate key stages and a track record of improving student outcomes.
Leadership experience within a school setting is desirable.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
