Learning Mentor

Teachwise is currently looking for a skilled and experienced learning-mentor for a local secondary school-based in Altrincham.- The role will begin on 8th-September-and will continue on a full-time basis, 5 days per week.
The role will involve working with pupils across KS3 & KS4.- Some pupils are dis-engaged and exhibit challenging behaviour whilst others have SEND and require bespoke 1-1 support.- You will need to have excellent communication skills coupled with an ability to engage with a pupils from a wide array of backgrounds.
The position would suit someone who has previously worked as a learning-mentor or behaviour mentor within a secondary school setting.
Key skills:
- Experience working with pupils across KS3/4
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to engage and build rapport quickly
- Ability to manage and improve challenging behaviour
- Experience working with pupils with SEND
- Committed to pupil progress and positive outcomes
- Available for work from 8th September
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold and enhanced DBS certificate on the update service
