Commissioning Engineer 50k-70k DOE Stoke-on-Trent Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commissioning Engineer to join our client''s team within the power, transmission, and distribution sector. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in high-voltage electrical systems and will play a crucial role in the testing, commissioning, and integration of electrical infrastructure, particularly at 11kV and 33kV levels. This role involves ensuring that all systems are installed and functionally tested in line with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:Plan and execute commissioning activities for power systems and substations (up to 33kV).Perform functional testing of 11kV and 33kV switchgear, control panels, and protection systems.Commission advanced protection schemes including differential, distance, and feeder protection.Carry out site acceptance testing (SAT) and factory acceptance testing (FAT) as required.Interpret and verify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and protection settings.Interface with project teams, clients, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of systems.Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve commissioning issues in a timely and efficient manner.Maintain accurate documentation of test results, commissioning procedures, and reports.Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and industry standards.
