Original Field of Architecture is seeking an experienced architectural technician to join its growing practice in Oxford, UK.Since 2008, Original Field has established itself as an architectural practice known for crafting expressive and engaging design responses. Our projects are varied and complex, successfully negotiating complex historical, social and economic environments resulting in innovative and creative outcomes.The candidate should be passionate about materials and how buildings are crafted as well as having strong technical and communication skills.Key skills and experience:hold a degree in architectural design and technology or similar qualification, accredited by the CIATCIAT registered with minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience in stages 4 to 5 detailing and delivery phasesdemonstrate excellent technical detailing skillsexperience in both traditional and DandB processCDP experience and working with specialist subcontractorsfully conversant with the production of NBS Specificationsexcellent communication skillsability to coordinate complex building projects with a wider consultant teamadvanced knowledge of UK building regulations and standards, Building Safety Actexperience with historic and listed buildings an advantageexperience with Revit an advantageThe role presents a fantastic opportunity to work on prestigious projects through design and construction stages and become a key member of the team.Our practice activity promotes care development providing training and CPD courses where required.
