We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join the Sequencing Methods Research Team as a Research Scientist to unlock transformative improvements in molecular sensing capabilities.Responsibilities

Generate DNA analytes and perform sequencing library preparationPerform electrophysiology experiments on sequencing devices to evaluate novel sequencing chemistry componentsAnalyse rich datasets using the command-line interface and custom scriptsWrite clear reports and conclusions and present updates at larger group meetingsWork closely with multidisciplinary teams, from synthetic chemistry to platform engineering, to develop next-generation analyte delivery technologiesEssential

A BSc or Masters in Life Sciences or a related fieldProven ability to execute molecular biology techniques to a high standardExcellent reporting, communication and teamwork skillsSolid understanding of protein and DNA structuresBasic knowledge of the principles of nanopore sequencingDesirable
