Role: Senior Medical Director, UK and Ireland at Ipsen. Drive Ipsen’s medical strategy, lead a multidisciplinary team, and ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards. Shapes Ipsen’s scientific engagement, governance, and patient-centric initiatives in the UK and Ireland cluster.Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the UK and Ireland Medical Affairs team, including Medical Affairs Managers, MSLs, Clinical Operations, and Pharmacovigilance Scientists.Provide strategic medical leadership within the UKandI Leadership Team (UKILT).Ensure compliance with EU and national regulations, GVP, GCP, GDP, and the ABPI Code of Practice.Act as a scientific ambassador, providing expert input into promotional and educational materials.Foster relationships with patient organisations and academic communities to support Ipsen’s patient-centric mission.Candidate Profile
Advanced degree in a scientific discipline (PhD, PharmD, MD); Registered Physician or Pharmacist preferred.Minimum 5 years’ senior-level experience in Medical Affairs; prior Medical Director experience advantageous.Proven leadership in cross-functional and multicultural environments.Strong understanding of ethics, compliance, and ABPI Code; Final Signatory experience preferred.Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages (e.g., French) are a plus.Why Join Ipsen?
