CV Technical are recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturing business that designs and delivers bespoke material handling and processing solutions to customers across the UK and internationally.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically minded design professional who enjoys seeing projects develop from concept through to manufacture and installation.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of bespoke mechanical systems and equipment, working closely with customers, production teams, and project stakeholders to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Producing 3D models and detailed engineering drawings
• Designing bespoke mechanical equipment and assemblies
• Supporting projects from concept through to manufacture
• Liaising with customers, suppliers, and internal departments
• Ensuring designs meet customer specifications and industry standards
• Supporting continuous improvement and product development activities
• Assisting with technical problem-solving and design modifications
• Occasional travel to customer sites when required

• Previous experience in a Mechanical Design Engineer position
• Strong 3D CAD modelling experience
• Apprentice trained or qualified in a mechanical engineering discipline
• Experience designing machinery, mechanical systems, or special purpose equipment
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally when required
