Role: Electrical Design Engineer Location: Sandy, Bedfordshire (Office-based) (with occasional travel to client and supplier sites)Hours: 8:30 - 5:00 PM (Mon - Thurs) 8:30 - 4:00 PM (Fri)Salary:Up to £45,000 (DOE) An excellent opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team. Working closely with Mechanical Design, Project, and Software teams, you will be responsible for producing control panel layouts, schematic drawings, component and cable specifications, and providing technical support to installation teams and clients. This role would suit someone with strong practical electrical knowledge and CAD experience who enjoys working on varied, technically challenging projects. Duties of an Electrical Design Engineer: Generate electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams using Eplan Pro Panel Produce control panel layouts and schematic drawings Specify and source components, consumables, and hardware in collaboration with purchasing and software teams Select PLC/HMI hardware alongside the Software department Support spares and service teams with parts sourcing and technical queries Work to customer specifications (URS) where required Ensure designs comply with relevant legislation and standards (BS7671, IEC 60204, ISO 13849, UL508A, NFPA79, AS3000, etc.) Ensure product safety and compliance with applicable codes and standards Provide technical input on sales enquiries and customer requirements Support product ..... full job details .....
