Contract (14 Weeks Initial) – Potential Long-Term Extension

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a large regional main contractor specialising in design and build projects.

This role will initially focus on overseeing a 14-week demolition phase ahead of a major industrial development in Bristol. Subject to performance and project progression, there is a strong opportunity for the position to extend into a longer-term role managing the subsequent new-build industrial units on the same site.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager seeking continuity of work and involvement from early enabling works through to full construction delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage site operations during the demolition phase
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to required standards
• Coordinate subcontractors and site activities
• Maintain strict health & safety compliance and site documentation
• Liaise with project teams, clients, and stakeholders
• Manage site logistics, reporting, and daily progress tracking
• Support transition from demolition into construction phase (if extended)

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Site Manager for a main contractor
• Experience managing demolition or enabling works preferred
• Background in industrial, commercial, or design & build projects
• Strong health & safety management capability
• Excellent organisational and communication skills

Essential Certifications:

• SMSTS
• CSCS (Manager level)
• First Aid at Work
