Job Title: Setting Out Engineer – Civils & Groundworks (Heat Pump Project)

About the Company:
Our client is a leading renewable energy contractor specialising in large-scale heat pump installations across the UK. With sustainability at the heart of their projects, they are delivering innovative solutions to reduce carbon emissions and futureproof infrastructure.

They are now seeking a skilled Setting Out Engineer to join their civils and groundworks team on an exciting heat pump installation project.

Role & Responsibilities:
As a Setting Out Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Setting out for all civils and groundworks elements of the heat pump project.
• Working closely with site management and subcontractors to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Managing levels, surveys, and as-built drawings.
• Maintaining quality assurance and compliance with project specifications.
• Supporting health & safety practices on-site.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Setting Out Engineer on civils and/or groundworks projects.
• Proficient in using setting out equipment (e.g., GPS, total station).
• Understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
• CSCS card required; SSSTS/SMSTS advantageous.
• Experience with renewable energy or M&E enabling works (desirable but not essential).
