Cost Modelling Specialist - SC Cleared We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Modelling Specialist to support a defence client on a contract basis. You will develop, refine, and analyse cost models to support procurement decisions, contract negotiations, and commercial planning. The role requires experience working in or alongside defence organisations and the ability to deliver robust financial insights to inform large-scale programme delivery.Due to the nature of the role, active SC clearance is required. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain complex cost models aligned with project and programme objectivesProvide forecasting, sensitivity analysis, and scenario modelling to support commercial and procurement activityEngage with senior stakeholders to present costed options and evidence-based recommendationsCollaborate across multidisciplinary teams (finance, commercial, technical, delivery)Ensure alignment with MoD cost assurance, investment appraisal, and public sector modelling standardsEssential Skills andamp; ExperienceProven cost modelling experience within the MoD or defence sector (eg DEandamp;S, BAE Systems, Babcock, Leidos)Strong understanding of defence procurement and commercial frameworksAdvanced analytical skills and experience supporting business cases or investment decisionsProficiency in tools such as Excel (incl. macros), CostX, or equivalent modelling platformsAbility to challenge and validate assumptions, cost drivers, and supplier inputsActive SC ..... full job details .....
