Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Lead Primary Engineer on a 6 month Rolling contract based In Glasgow. Role Summary The Primary Engineer will be a member of our UK Engineering Team and will contribute towards the effective execution of the primary engineering functions within projects and tenders. Primary Engineer will lead and work in a skilled team on a wide range of SSEN and SPEN substation projects. Requirements Bachelor or Master s in electrical engineering or equivalent Extensive substation engineering experience in utilities, particularly in transmission electrical networks. Knowledge of SSEN and SPEN requirements, policies and standards. Competencies/ Skills Required: Result orientated team player with a proactive approach. Excellent in communication, to interact with external and internal parties at all levels in a multi-cultural environment. Expert knowledge in Substation primary design and engineering, Layouts, Grounding and Lightning design, Steel design inputs, transformers, HV and MV Switchgear systems, HV and MV cable calculations, earthing calculations. Strong in MS Office, knowledge in MicroStation and AutoCAD is required.
