Are you passionate aboutandnbsp;inclusive educationandnbsp;and supporting children withandnbsp;Special Educational Needs£ Supply Desk are looking for a dedicatedandnbsp;Higher Level Teaching Assistantandnbsp;to join a welcoming primary school in the Brighton area with a dedicated SEN provision, and provide high-quality,andnbsp;tailored supportandnbsp;to pupils withandnbsp;EHCPs.

Youandrsquo;ll work closely with children who need additional help withandnbsp;communication, emotional regulation, and access to learningandmdash;using effective andandnbsp;structured routines, behaviour management techniques, and a nurturing approach to help them thrive.

You''ll collaborate with experienced staff and external professionals, ensuring every child receives theandnbsp;regulated supportandnbsp;they need to flourish both academically and emotionally.

Key Skills andamp; Experience:



  • Experience or strong interest in supporting children with SEN, including ASD, speech andamp; language needs, or SEMH.


  • A sound understanding ofandnbsp;EHCPs,andnbsp;differentiation, and inclusive classroom practice.


  • Confident using alternativeandnbsp;communicationandnbsp;tools and adapting teaching throughandnbsp;scaffolding.


  • A nurturing, proactive attitude and ability to work as part of a collaborative support team.

Requirements:


  • Recognised qualifications and knowledge of the curriculum.

  • References for the past 2 years.

  • An Enhanced DBS Check on the update service (we can support you in applying for one).

  • 6 months of previous experience working with children preferred.
