Head of Commercial and Finance The Role:A key member of the management team. In addition to providing timely and accurate management information you will be expected to act upon it, whether this be by highlighting business improvement or driving an opportunity for business improvement yourself. This will extend into the ERP systems and the business processes feeding into it. You will be profit driven, looking to increase revenue and efficiency and reduce cost.The role will be responsible for managing the procurement function, as well as the finance team and as such will understand the importance in providing a reliable and efficient support function.Alongside leading the commercial aspects of the business, the role requires a high level of commerciality, identifying profit risks and opportunities. You need to be astute in terms of legal contracts and contract formation and prepared to negotiate detailed terms and conditions. Key Responsibilities:Finance Prepare monthly management accounts including analysis and explanation of variances to budget/forecastCash flow forecastingVAT and statutory returnsBalance sheet reconciliationsCreate and analyse ad-hoc financial reports.Oversee the management of accruals and prepayments.Prepare budgets, working with the Management Team and Director.Prepare capex proposals and secure, where applicable, associated asset financeMaintain the fixed asset registerBusiness modelling and analysis to support strategic and day-to day decision ..... full job details .....
