Job: Embedded Software Engineer Company: BAE Systems Hourly Rate: £50.79 PAYE or £68.55 UmbrellaLocation: Portsmouth - hybridContract: 12 months (Opportunity to be extended)Working Hours: 37 hours per weekKey Responsibilities:Design and development of embedded software entities, from specification through to release into serviceSupport to electronic circuit designers for computing architecture aspectsArchitecture design and coding of complex software problems including, but not limited to, digital signal processing, TCP/IP, data recording solutionsTranslation of requirements into design detailSkills and Qualifications:Extensive experience in low-level software design and implementation in C / C++Sound understanding of one or more microprocessor architecturesExperience of complex system integration, both hardware and software (desirable)Knowledge of memory types and interfacing with processors and FPGAs.
