This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive environment and make a meaningful impact on young people with complex needs.About the RoleYou will be leading a small, well-staffed class of 8-12 students, aged 11-18, all with Autism and additional learning needs. Pupils in this class are currently working at Year 3 to Year 7 levels, and may at times become disregarded in the classroom. The school promotes a calm, structured approach and offers excellent support from a strong team of Teaching Assistants-a minimum of 2 TAs per class, with some groups having up to 4, depending on individual needs.Your responsibilities will include:Planning and delivering engaging lessons (support provided)Creating a safe, nurturing and consistent learning environmentManaging behaviour using positive support strategiesWorking closely with support staff and the wider SEND teamDifferentiating learning to meet a wide range of abilitiesIdeal Candidate Will Have:PGCE or QTS preferredUnqualified teachers considered where strong SEND classroom experience is demonstratedExperience working with children ..... full job details .....
