Job-Description

We-are-seeking-an-experienced-Senior-Mechanical-Design-Engineer-to-join-a-leading-UK-engineering-business-specialising-in-bespoke-lifting-and-material-handling-equipment.-This-is-a-key-role-within-a-multidisciplinary-engineering-team,-offering-the-opportunity-to-work-on-complex,-safety-critical-systems-across-industries-such-as-rail,-construction,-utilities,-and-aerospace.

Job-Responsibilities

• Lead-the-design-and-development-of-bespoke-mechanical-lifting-and-handling-equipment-
• Produce-detailed-3D-models-and-2D-technical-drawings-using-CAD-software-
• Perform-engineering-calculations-including-stress-analysis-and-load-assessments-
• Ensure-all-designs-comply-with-applicable-UK-and-international-standards-
• Collaborate-with-electrical,-hydraulic,-and-manufacturing-teams-
• Support-prototype-builds,-testing,-and-manufacturing-processes-

Skills-Required

• Degree-in-Mechanical-Engineering-or-a-related-discipline-
• Strong-experience-in-mechanical-design-within-heavy-engineering-or-special-purpose-machinery-
• Proficiency-in-CAD-software-such-as-AutoCAD,-Autodesk-Inventor,-and-Vault-
• Strong-understanding-of-engineering-principles,-stress-analysis,-and-design-standards-
• Familiarity-with-BS-standards-
• Knowledge-of-hydraulic-and/or-electrical-systems-(desirable)-
• Excellent-problem-solving-skills-and-attention-to-detail-
• Ability-to-manage-projects-and-work-effectively-within-multidisciplinary-teams-
