A leading provider of engineering services to heavy industry, including Energy, Refinery, Aggregate, and Utilities, is seeking a Mechanical Service Engineer. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and fault-finding on rotating equipment, including large turbines, pumps, and auxiliary machinery. Most client sites are within an hour''s drive, with occasional UK wide travel.

• -40,000 - -47,000 per year plus Travel allowance / extra payments for client site travel

• Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on turbines, pumps, and BOP (Balance of Plant) equipment
• Conduct fault finding, defect repairs, installation, and commissioning
• Use precision measuring tools, alignment equipment, and micrometers
• Complete detailed reports, condition assessments, and technical documentation
• Assist and lead planned projects and outages
• Manage work schedules efficiently and respond to callouts on a 1 in 5 basis

• Mechanical qualifications: ONC, HNC, NVQ, or equivalent
• Proven experience with rotating equipment in heavy engineering or power generation sectors
• OEM pump or turbine experience preferred
• Strong technical ability in fault diagnosis, measuring, and reporting
• Excellent customer service, communication, and teamwork skills
• Self-motivated, independent, and flexible
• Full, clean driving license
• Ability to pass security clearances, physically fit and willing to work away from home
