Company & Project: Apple Technical Recruitment are working alongside an award winning Main Contractor operating across multiple new build and refurbishment sectors, seeking to recruit an experienced an effective Senior Quantity Surveyor to complement their surveying team, joining a recent project win which starts in Summer 2025.

The project is a c-40m New Build Education project located in Cambridge.

Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing all daily commercial management functions, including but not limited to; measurement & valuations, applications for payment, reconciling accounts, dealing with sub-contract orders and enquiries, through to practical completion of the project and settling final accounts.

Previous experience on projects -20m+ as Number 1 QS is essential, along with a strong working knowledge of assisting with CVR''s and monthly reporting.

The projected profit, cash-flow and margin realisation is the key responsibility for surveyors in this business, as such it is expected that the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong track record in each of these areas.

Desirable Experience:

• Minimum 10 years+ experience as a QS on Construction projects in excess of -20m.
• Good knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts would be advantageous.
• Excellent negotiation skills and previous experience procuring subcontractors.
• Strong track interpersonal and communication.
• Previous Roles: Senior Quantity Surveyor OR Project QS OR Quantity Surveyor.

Qualifications & Skills: Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or comparable.
