About the Role:

A vibrant secondary school in Newport Pagnell is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide specialist support across English and Maths departments. This role is ideal for someone looking to deepen their impact on learning while working collaboratively with teachers and pupils in a focused academic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted group interventions and 1:1 academic support
• Support teachers in managing behaviour and classroom routines
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons under teacher guidance when required
• Assist with marking, planning, and progress reviews
• Contribute to literacy and numeracy development strategies

Requirements:

• HLTA status or Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Previous experience working in a secondary school setting
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSEs or equivalent)
• Confident managing pupil behaviour and building rapport
