Fortus Recruitment are a recruitment company that specialise in placing people within the repairs and maintenance industry We are currently working on behalf of a Local Authority.My Client is currently looking for a Fire Alarm Engineer for a Permanent position to carry out work in domestic properties covering Bristol and surrounding areas.The Fire Maintenance Engineer will deliver work across London and the Home Counties. The purpose of this role is to provide maintenance and servicing of life safety equipment, emergency light and smoke vent systems, in accordance with all current British and European standards, in accordance with BS5839 standards.Key Duties and Responsibilities: Provide day to day planned and reactive maintenance of contractsServicing and maintenance of emergency lighting systemsTo respond to emergency call-outs and carry out any remedial works as requiredCarry out asset verificationInstall replacement/additional equipmentTake part in the on-call rotaConduct site surveys as requiredSupporting the development of apprenticesTo always act in a professional and diligent manor, considering the need of the clients Required Skills and experience: Previous Fire Maintenance experienceGood understanding of the British Standards BS 5839 and BS 5266.FIA units (1,3,5)Driving Licence Working Environment:This is operational site-based position and involves collaborating closely with the support service team.
