About the roleThe
Director of Distribution and Commercial Systems
primary function is to support the implementation
of distribution across all channels. To provide support with commercial activities that are strategically planned to reinforce YOTEL Brands, our reputation, target market areas and drive revenue.
The
Director of Distribution and Commercial Systems
will be responsible for supporting and deploying strategic actions to ensure that all channels, set ups, both on brand sites and other third-party sites are activated according to the overall goals agreed to support and optimise revenue and pricing, mix management, promotional products, rooms types, LOS and channel management for all assets. They will provide advice and support to managed properties and the sharing of best practice across the Global YOTEL portfolio. The role is pivotal in maintaining systems integrity, delivering consistency, driving best class use and supporting the wider YOTEL change agenda whilst supporting hotel business units in rolling out new initiatives and projects to deliver a best in class YOTEL commercial distribution platform.
More specifically, responsibilities will include the following (not exhaustive list):Responsible for YOTEL commercial distribution ticketing system, management and delivery for all hotels in accordance with YOTEL SLAResponsible for all rate loading with the support of the distribution team for all YOTEL properties in, PMS, Channel Manager, Booking Engine/GDS and RMSResponsible for the stability, mapping and connectivity of channel manager and SynXisResponsible for conducting monthly Duetto Account meetings and driving best practice across the estateAct as key liaison for commercial systems account meetings providing regular updates to the business and the team on opportunities and feedbackSupport Duetto configuration and best practice use across YOTEL propertiesSupport the on-boarding of new colleagues in terms of systems, set up and workingsAssist with the implementation of PMS
be the go-to expert for questions around the PMSLoad and follow up on GDS rates for all YOTEL propertiesPerform regular checks on all online platforms for content and optimisation (3rd party suppliers such as Hotel Planner, CVENT)Support the marketing team with the systems implementation of strategies for paid display campaigns on Facebook, META, Google, linked-in; for retargeting campaigns and affiliate programsResponsible for recruitment, training and development of Distribution coordinator teamResponsible for management of functional PandL budget and forecast costsManage the ongoing accuracy of rate loading in RMS/CRS/PMS/OTAsOwn and deliver central Commercial Distribution projects as agreed annuallySupport VP Commercial Distribution and Optimisation in reviewing new Revenue generating technology. Support compilation of business case submissions required to secure investment ROI
The skills we are looking for are:3+ years distribution leadership role, preferably in a multi-property or corporate-level positionDeep understanding of Revenue and Distribution systemsProficiency with hotel commercial systems, property management systems (PMS), revenue management systems (RMS) channel management softwareExperience working with Duetto, Opera Cloud, SynXis, SiteMinder, P3, RPA (Robotic Process Automation Technology)MS Office proficiencyPayment technology implementationProven track record of developing project plans and executing plans to time and on budgetAnalytical skills, as well as problem recognition and resolution skillsExcellent communication and organizational skillsIn depth understanding of the hotel performance drivers and commercial distribution strategiesExperience working with Lifestyle hotel brands a plus
