We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and experienced Premises Manager to oversee the day-to-day maintenance, safety, and cleanliness of our school premises. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong practical skills, a commitment to high standards, and the ability to work independently while supporting a vibrant school community.

• Manage the overall upkeep, security, and operation of school buildings and grounds

• Conduct regular site checks and risk assessments to ensure safety and compliance

• Carry out basic repairs and general maintenance (DIY, painting, minor plumbing/electrics)

• Oversee contractors and ensure works are completed to specification and on schedule

• Maintain health & safety, fire safety, and building compliance documentation

• Support the school in event set-ups, room arrangements, and deliveries

• Manage cleaning and site staff, including rotas and quality control

• Respond to emergencies, including out-of-hours call-outs if required

• Previous experience in a similar site or premises management role

• Strong practical maintenance/DIY skills

• Good working knowledge of Health & Safety, fire regulations, and statutory checks

• Ability to manage a team and liaise effectively with external contractors

• Good IT and organisational skills

• A flexible, solution-focused approach

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
