We have a Health and Justice Services Directorate, within which sits the ''Children and Young People'' Service line working in partnership with ''Youth Custody Service'' colleagues to provide responsive, trauma-informed primary care, mental health, neuro-developmental and substance misuse services to the young people and young adults within our care.Main duties of the job

Work closely with the children who use our services, their families, friends and carers and play an important contribution in how children experience our services.Provide a comprehensive school nursing service and work as part of an integrated healthcare service which includes primary care, mental health, substance misuse and a sexual behaviour service.keeping the children who use our services as safe as possible through sound clinical skills and effective risk assessmentsensuring the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering to evidence-based policies and proceduresensuring the children using our services have a good experience by respecting, empowering and working in partnership with people throughout the care planning processWe believe that the best health care is delivered by multi-disciplinary teams working well together and in partnership with other teams and services to provide seamless care.Working as part of a team you will contribute to the success of the team by being an effective role model and supervising Band 5 nurses, support workers and students to ensure they are working to the standards which the children using our services deserve.Working for our organisation

Essential criteria

Registered nurse Adult / Child / Mental Health / Learning DisabilitySpecialist Community Public Health Nurse – School Nursing (SCPHN – SN) or willingness to work towards.Evidence of Continual Professional developmentMentorship Preparation or equivalentThe postholder is expected to deliver trauma-informed, culturally sensitive care, considering the developmental needs of the children and ensuring consideration of the impact of their experiences on their current strengths, needs and difficulties.You will be able to find a full job description and personal specification attached within the supporting documents or please click "apply now to view in TRAC."Desirable criteria
