On Call Electrical Team Leader

within the Engineering Department, based at our Knottingley site. The role reports to the Engineering and Cold End Maintenance Manager and involves managing and overseeing a small team of Electrical Engineers.Responsibilities

Provide technical guidance and support to team members, assign tasks based on skill and capability, monitor and evaluate team performance, and provide developmental feedback.Ensure the team follows safety protocols and complies with electrical codes and regulations. Conduct safety inspections and promote a culture of safety within the team.Resolve problems relating to electrical equipment and machine setup by coordinating with other departments to ensure machinery is operational.Supervise departmental employees within the guidelines of company procedures (performance, discipline, and grievance) as defined in the Company Handbook.Qualifications

Suitable candidates should be fully apprenticed or equivalent, with a good level of Maths and English. The role requires the ability to work well under pressure in a challenging environment and to prioritise workloads. Excellent problem-solving skills are essential. Prior supervisory and leadership experience is desirable. Candidates should be enthusiastic, committed, proactive, and flexible, with the ability to drive and motivate others.Working pattern and Benefits

This is a Day position with a 40-hour week. There is a requirement to participate in a callout schedule (1 in 4 weeks). Work patterns include: Monday to Friday 6:00am–2:00pm, 7:00am–3:00pm, or 8:00am–4:00pm. A competitive salary is offered.
