WSP is looking for a Principal Engineer, to join our industry-leading Intelligent Infrastructure team to design and advise clients on the next generation technology that will build the transport systems that everyone else is talking about.WSP’s Tunnel Systems capability provides total end-to-end tunnel asset design and advisory services; Using your technical knowledge (mechanical and electrical systems, road tunnel operations, safety) and design experience you will help deliver prestigious new build and refurbishment tunnel systems projects across many industry sectors including road, rail and utilities in the UK and beyond for a growing client base including Local Authorities, National Highways and National Grid.Collaborating with other designers and WSP multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high quality output to meet the client’s expectations.A proven technical capability in the design, operation or delivery of tunnel systems including electrical, mechanical, fire life safety, communications, and control systemsA proven track record of working collaboratively with both internal and external partners on integrated highway technology projectsPractical understanding of working with infrastructure design systems, which may include skills previously gained in Building Information Modelling systems, AutoCAD (or similar), ProjectWise and SharePoint.Ability to motivate, develop and lead junior members of the team, encouraging individual growth and performance.Join our close-knit community of talented individuals who share your passion for making a positive impact.
