Principal Education are seeking hard-working and enthusiastic educators, passionate about making a positive impact on the academic and social development of children, to work as cover supervisors, in our secondary schools around London.

There are NO qualifications required for this type of work, however, previous experience working with children in some capacity is highly desirable. 

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

A Cover Supervisor manages behaviour at the front of the classroom in the absence of a teacher as well as ensuring pupils stay on task with their work. It is a support role which requires empathy, understanding and assertiveness. 

Pay rates for work as an unqualified teacher/cover supervisor, in our secondary schools, typically range from £110 - £130 per day for flexible daily cover. Qualified cover teachers can expect to recive pay starting from £130 a day. However, if you secure an ongoing role in the one school, then we will aim to pay you a daily rate which aligns with the unqualified teacher pay scale. • Demonstrate the right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Possess strong classroom and behavioural management skills.
• Be flexible and adaptable, willing and able to think on your feet.
• Demonstrate calmness & composure under pressure, to maintain an optimal learning environment.
• Possess a recent, enhanced copy of a DBS – or be willing to obtain one from Principal Education.
• Possess an overseas police clearance from any country that you have resided in for six months or more within the last five years, outside of the United Kingdom.
  
• Be based in a London borough, or within commutable distance.
