Giving you a breadth of exposure to complex and high-value matters, working on a broad remit of advisory and contentious work.As the team and firm continue to grow, they are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join a highly regarded team, to help drive further success and growth within the sector.The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic market leading and growing team dealing with prestigious clients and high-quality work with significant regional, London and national profile. Acting in some of the leading reported Procurement and Judicial Review cases and are at the cutting edge of public sector and education disputes work, advising on novel and innovative issues and disputes.The role itself is highly rewarding, covering a varied caseload of public law and regulatory matters, acting for both developers and local authorities, challenging government policies and decisions (such as HMRC or the Rural Payments Agency), handling local authority and parish council issues, charities and civil regulatory disputes, Equality Act and disability/SEN claims (including SEND Tribunal advocacy).You''ll work closely with colleagues in London and Cambridge on key client matters, defending claims across sectors including education, local government, retail, leisure, and hospitality. Alongside this, you''ll have the chance to build and develop your own profile, with a strong emphasis on business development that will contribute to both your success and the team''s growth. Be an experienced lawyer, with 5-8 years'' PQE gained at a strong regional, City, or specialist practice.
Experience in procurement disputes and judicial review highly desirable.
Strong track record in High Court litigation, with the ability to deliver consistently high-quality, detailed legal work.Excellent written and oral communication skills, combined with a flexible approach to meet urgent client and court deadlines.Commercially minded, able to provide strategic, practical advice while maintaining outstanding client service.Proven ability and enthusiasm for business development, with experience supervising or supporting junior colleagues.This Administrative and Public Law Disputes Senior Associate role is a career-defining opportunity within a Top 50 UK law firm, offering the chance to work with high-profile clients, while advising on complex public law matters.
