The opportunityWe’ve got an exciting opportunity to join our Corporate Tax team in Aberdeen. Our work is a combination of both tax advisory and compliance, including tax advice in respect of matters such as MandA structuring, exit planning, group re-organisations, expansion into overseas territories and much more. Our Aberdeen office is a successful and growing one with an impressive client portfolio, predominantly working in the energy sector.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining trusted relationships with clients and ensuring in your role as their day to day contact that they have access to the breadth of tax services available to them at EY.

Your key responsibilities

To contribute to the efficient and successful delivery of corporate tax services ensuring technical excellence

Build and maintain relationships with clients

Get involved by supporting senior managers and partners win new work

Skills and attributes for success

Strong tax technical skills – corporate tax specialist

Ability to build strong client relationships and committed to delivery of exceptional client service

Enthusiastic, committed and flexible attitude to work

Strong and motivated team player; ability to integrate with new teams quickly

Excellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oral

Effective time management

Ensure delivery of quality work and take day to day responsibility of delivery team

Enthusiastic team player

A desire to coach more junior staff

To qualify for the role you must have

You’ll have one of the following qualifications: ATT / ACA / CA / CTA (or breadth of knowledge equivalent to CTA)

Background in corporate tax, with some tax advisory experience helpful, but not essential

Strong technical skills and a desire to develop further
