Job purpose

Olympia Events are seeking a highly motivated and experienced FandB Finance Business Partner to join our dynamic team at this iconic venue. Part of ASM, the world’s largest global venue management business, the successful candidate will partner all areas of FandB in the business to help drive future growth in a fast-paced environment.To act as business partner to the newly formed FandB department within Olympia Events, supporting existing Heritage Halls catering alongside a newly developed ICC and Private Members lounge launching in March 2026. Developing and providing quality MI and supporting the team with commercial finance and analytical input and advice, and to work with the wider transactional finance team to produce management accounts from journal stage to monthly packs and detailed forecasting and budgeting. The role will also require mentoring and day to day management of an FandB Finance Assistant (to be recruited).

Key responsibilitiesBe a key member of the team mobilising a new FandB department, including set up of new EPOS system, CRM and integrating these with existing financial reporting systems.

Develop and provide high quality MI and detailed commercial financial analysis of the operations to support decision making.

Manage, mentor, develop and facilitate working structure of an FandB Finance Assistant.

Identify and implement improvements in processes and systems, with the objective of improving controls and efficiencies after operations begin.

Attend and actively contribute to FandB department meetings led by FandB Director or other senior team member.

Hold monthly meetings with Department Heads to discuss financial results and forecasts.

Prepare annual departmental budgets and challenge department heads to achieve targets.

Prepare monthly reforecasts and prepare monthly forecast pack in line with other ASM venues.

Prepare monthly packs for monthly Business Review and attend meeting.

Input into annual business planning process and value up financial impact of initiatives.

Provide ongoing Finance support on the financial impact of initiatives implemented, especially around the impact of premium and hospitality products.

Prepare month end journals and process in Finance System.

Prepare event settlements for all events.

Prepare event reports and a weekly performance tracker for all events.

Where relevant prepare ROI analysis for capex projects that are income generating.

Act as point of contact for audit of FandB PandL and prepare all relevant audit information.

Responsible for and have control over integrity and accuracy of MI from EPOS and other business systems.

Ad hoc project work as directed by Finance Director and FandB Director.

Essential skills and qualificationsQualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA, including relevant post qualification experience.

Experience of management of people.

Have the gravitas to act as the face of Finance as a ‘stand -alone’ Finance representative.

Track record of implementation of systems, processes and change management experience.

Good knowledge of processes, systems and control frameworks.

Advanced Excel skills including formulas and ideally macros.

PowerBI knowledge desirable.

Other skillsHave excellent planning, organisational and time management skills

Be resilient and able to work well under pressure and work reactively and proactively

Have excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
