Electrical Fitter

Job Type: Contract - 12 months
Salary: -21.12 - -22.12 per hour (PAYE) -28.35 - -29.70 per hour (Umbrella)

Our client, a respected leader in the Defence sector, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Electrical Fitter to join their production team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in electrical fitting and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

• Carry out electrical manufacturing and testing tasks in accordance with internal procedures and quality standards.
• Certify completed work and support regular audits to maintain product approval.
• Use a variety of tools, equipment, and measuring instruments throughout the manufacturing cycle.
• Ensure all build, inspection, and test activities are completed on time and to specification.
• Accurately complete all manufacturing documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

• Completed one of the following:
  • Approved Apprenticeship / Apprenticeship Framework / Modern Apprenticeship
  • Vocational G or H Units with Further Education (e.g., City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3)
  • Vocational TR23 Units with Further Education (e.g., ONC or City & Guilds)
  • Vocational NVQ Level 3 with Further Education (e.g., BTEC ONC/HNC)
• Hands-on experience in electrical wiring and assembly.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within aerospace or defence (preferred).
• Familiarity with manual handling, lifting and slinging, and ESD practices.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality and safety.
