This senior role is central to delivering the Mayoral vision and Economic Framework, ensuring the successful implementation of a £30M annual devolved skills funding programme and driving inclusive growth across the region.The successful candidate will lead the development and delivery of integrated strategies that respond to employer needs, support high-growth sectors, and raise aspirations through education and careers programmes. Reporting into Andy Kerr, the Director of Economy, this is a key leadership role with responsibility for managing specialist teams and working in close partnership with local authorities, national agencies, and education providers.We are seeking an accomplished strategic leader with extensive experience in the skills and employment sector, underpinned by a thorough understanding of both local and national policy contexts.
