A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Buyer/Senior Buyer to be part of the senior leadership team as a Head of Buying and Merchandising. This business has strong values centred around people focused with 1st class customer service being a non-negotiable.Within this role, you will be:Leading negotiations and supplier managementAgree budgets and targets for the commercial teamLead, mentor and develop the commercial buying teamPlay a key role in the company annual strategy meetingsDrive margins and profit for stock buyingPreparation of monthly board reportsAttend supplier visits internally and externallyExperience requiredA Lead Buyer/Senior Buyer with proven team management experience with direct reportsComfortable working closely with the Board and within a Senior Leadership roleKnowledge of Buying highly trend led categories within fashion or homewareExcellent supplier management and onboarding new suppliers1st class negotiation and numerical skillsPeople orientated - proven experience of coaching and developing a teamHybrid working available after successful completion of probationFlex working hoursBonus Scheme5% Employer pension contributionDeath in serviceCandidates must have full right to work in the UK/Northern Ireland.
