Mechanical Design Engineer Wolverhampton, UK Full-Time Office-Based (5 Days Per Week) Salary: Up to £69,000 DOE About the Role My client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing design team based in Wolverhampton. This is a predominantly office-based role (5 days per week) where you will be responsible for developing and delivering detailed mechanical designs that support safe, compliant, and high-quality installations across a range of construction projects. Working as part of an established design team, you will play a key role in the coordination and delivery of mechanical building services design from concept through to detailed design and construction stages. Key Responsibilities Designing in accordance with fire strategy reports, local building regulations and planning authority requirements Attending and contributing to design team meetings Carrying out site surveys of existing installations where required Producing heating and cooling load calculations (thermal modelling) and ventilation calculations using industry software Sizing and selection of AHUs, FCUs, extract fans, pumps, chillers, ASHPs, boilers, plate heat exchangers and associated plant Producing above-ground drainage calculations and system sizing Sizing and selection of domestic hot and cold-water equipment (heaters, storage tanks etc.) Producing pipework and ductwork sizing calculations using recognised industry software or spreadsheets Sizing and ..... full job details .....
