Rubicon Consulting-is currently recruiting for Electrical commissioning engineer on a 6 Month Contract, based in Essex

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our project within the wastewater treatment sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all electrical and instrumentation installation and commissioning activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with project specifications and environmental standards.

This role requires strong knowledge of Thames Water standards and extensive hands-on commissioning experience within wastewater treatment environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute electrical and instrumentation installation and commissioning activities at site level.
• Ensure compliance with Thames Water specifications, standards, and documentation requirements.
• Commission wastewater treatment plant systems safely and effectively.
• Oversee High Voltage (HV) installation and commissioning activities.
• Support and manage Power Management System installation and commissioning.
• Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with DSEAR regulations and safety requirements.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality compliance at all times.
• Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Produce and review commissioning documentation, test records, and handover packs.

Requirements

• Extensive experience commissioning wastewater treatment plants.
• Strong working knowledge of Thames Water specifications and documentation processes.
• High Voltage (HV) experience.
• DSEAR experience within industrial/process environments.
• Proven experience installing and commissioning Power Management Systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems within water or process industries.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
