As a medium-sized company, they focus on delivering high-quality energy assets and maintaining a strong presence in their industry.Job DescriptionFull PandL responsibility; accountable for meeting commercial and operational financial targets.Lead delivery of our clients obligations under the SA, ensuring all plant-related contracts (OandM, feedstock, PPA, etc.) are performing to terms.Chair regular performance reviews (weekly/monthly) with OandM and service providers.Set and reinforce a high-performance culture on site with clear operating disciplines.Maintain and actively manage the plant risk register across safety, operations, contracts, and reputation.Build and maintain long-term, productive working relationships with:SubcontractorsFuel suppliers and hauliersLocal authorities, SEPA, and regulatorsGrid operators, PPA counterparties, and insurersFinancial stakeholders and advisorsLead the cultural transformation of the site - establishing a reputation for stability, safety, and professionalism.You will be within a commuting distance of Central Belt Scotland but will also be happy to travel to other assets throughout the UK and potentially globally.The Successful ApplicantA successful General Manager should have:A proven track record in managing operations within an industrial services organisations, for example biomass, EfW, Power Generation or similar thermal infrastructuresTrack record managing multiple counterparties and subcontracted service models.Familiarity with UK environmental, regulatory, and grid frameworks (e.g. SEPA, emissions compliance, permit conditions).The ability to develop and execute strategic plans effectively.Experience in managing budgets and achieving financial goals.Strong commercial literacy and ability to manage contracts, resolve disputes, and drive performance.A focus on innovation and continuous improvement.Exposure to turn arounds of distressed assets would be beneficial.What''s on OfferA competitive salary ranging from £100,000 to £120,000, depending on experience.Opportunities for professional growth and development.Potential for bonuses and additional benefits (to be confirmed).A supportive and collaborative company culture.If you are ready to take on the challenge of becoming a General Manager, apply now to join a forward-thinking team.
