Anderselite are recruiting on behalf of a respected regional main contractor in Halifax who are seeking an experienced Buyer to join their commercial team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and detail-driven professional to play a vital role in the procurement of materials, plant, and services for a range of exciting construction projects across the region.

• Source and purchase construction materials, equipment, and subcontractor services

• Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers

• Build strong, long-term relationships with suppliers and project teams

• Ensure timely delivery of materials to keep projects on track and within budget

• Maintain accurate procurement records and manage costs effectively

• Previous experience as a Buyer in the construction industry

• Strong negotiation and organisational skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with suppliers and colleagues

• A proactive, detail-focused approach
