ABC Teachers is looking for a skilled SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEN School in Birmingham on a full-time basis. 

About the role: 

• Responsible for the planning and delivery of lessons within the national curriculum whilst meeting the complex Social, Emotional or Mental Health (SEMH) needs of all students.
• Liaise with other school staff to ensure the needs of the pupils are met.
• You will build relationships with the students, have an understanding of their SEMH needs and tailor learning to their individual abilities, interests, and needs.
• Assess and monitor student’s progress, using assessments from their home schools and robust baseline diagnosis, aiming to reduce the impact of their medical conditions on their educational outcomes.
• Full time position available for an immediate start, with potential for ongoing work for the right candidate.

About you: 

To be considered for the SEN Teacher position, you will: 

• Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism, and sensory needs. 

• Suitable qualifications – must hold a QTS or PGCE. 

• Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students 

• Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
