Senior Firmware Engineer
to join our Engineering Department in New Malden. This role will play a key part in our radar sensor development team, focusing on firmware and embedded software development for maritime navigation systems.To take ownership and responsibility for current and future design for developed SoC platforms going forwards.Collaborate closely with the Embedded Software and System Test teams during system integration activities.Work autonomously in a focused, agile team, contributing high-quality results from the outset.Were looking for a motivated and detail-oriented engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a strong technical foundation. Deep understanding of System on Chip (SoC) based design and build environment.A prerequisite of HDL coding and test benching (VHDL, Verilog).Software languages, C (or C++) is preferable, additional languages considered useful.Knowledge of one or more of Bash, TCL, or PythonPeripheral buses, I2C, SPI.AXI bus interconnect.Knowledge of: Synchronous design, Finite state machines (FSMs), ADCs, DACs, FIFOs, DSP, data streaming, pipelining.Experience with Linux operating systemsTCP/IP, UTP, CAT240 (Asterix), Networking ProtocolsKnowledge of device tree and device driversAt Sperry Marine, youll be part of a global team at the forefront of maritime navigation innovation.
