Our client, a large London local authority, is seeking a dedicated Electrical Inspector to oversee and ensure the quality and compliance of electrical works conducted by contractors. This role is pivotal in maintaining and improving the authority s properties and encompasses door entry, lighting and specialised fire safety projects. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough inspections of electrical installations and maintenance works to ensure compliance with BS 7671 (18th Edition) and other relevant regulations. Oversee and assess contractor performance, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards. Review and validate Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and other certification documents. Collaborate with project teams on fire safety initiatives, ensuring electrical aspects meet safety requirements. Provide expert advice on electrical safety and compliance to internal stakeholders. Candidate Profile: Proven experience in electrical inspection within the social housing sector or similar environments. Comprehensive knowledge of electrical regulations and safety standards. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and certifications. Relevant qualifications, such as City and Guilds 2391 or equivalent, are desirable.
