Job Title:

Global Business Intelligence Data Engineer 3On FreeWheel’s System Administration and Automation Team, you will leverage a dynamic skill set to help create and implement standards and best practices in our Snowflake environment. You will communicate effectively to provide expert consultation on our tool sets remotely and in person to all levels of the organization. You will code, test, and debug new and existing applications using SQL and other Data Engineering and BI tools. You will learn about FreeWheel’s Ad-Tech driven products (MRM, Beeswax, Strata, and others) and how their processes are implemented in Snowflake and other tools such as Looker. You will be a subject matter expert who understands how data flows across our platforms and assist in creating cleaner, streamlined data workflows throughout the FreeWheel Enterprise.

In this role, you will:Design new software and Data Engineering applications in the Snowflake EnvironmentDisplay in-depth knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills and their application in Snowflake and related technologiesDevelop advanced Snowflake SQL and ETL code to support FreeWheel’s BI SystemsUtilize Snowflake standards and best practicesWork closely with internal stakeholders and business partners to understand their needs and transform them into functioning solutionsEmploy platform best practices to deliver world-class solutionsConduct regular presentations both in person and remotely to all levels of the FreeWheel organization on Snowflake best practicesPresent and defend architectural, design and technical choices to internal audiencesDemonstrate project management skills and the ability to manage scopeExercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significanceOur tech stack

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in quantitative or similar field required4+ years of experience in Data Analysis and Data Pipeline EngineeringKnowledge of Snowflake Architecture, Best Practices, and Implementation requiredStrong knowledge of Snowflake SQL Development requiredExperience with Visualization BI tools (Looker required; Tableau and/or Power BI a plus)Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft SQL Server a plusExperience with a scripting language (Python or R)Experience with Fivetran or other ETL tools a plusExperience in Advertising Technology a major plusExperience with FreeWheel Data and Products (MRM, Beeswax, Strata) a plusExperience with Atlan or other Data Tools a plusFluency in French a major plusRequirements / About you

Ability to drive software development activities to meet project schedules and timelinesAbility to ensure code quality with supporting unit testsAbility to scope the technical portion of a project, estimate effort, and develop/architect individual solutionsStrong verbal and written communication skills; able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical groups in French and EnglishTeam player with the ability to work with cross-functional and geographically diverse teamsExperience with agile development methodologies is preferredAbout FreeWheel
