About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Town Planner to join a leading multidisciplinary property consultancy based in central Bristol. This firm boasts one of the region''s largest and most respected planning teams, offering a dynamic and supportive environment for early-career planners to gain exceptional experience across a wide range of sectors and projects.
The successful candidate will be based at the company''s head office, working closely with an established planning team known for delivering high-quality solutions across the UK. Projects span residential, commercial, retail, regeneration, energy, leisure, and community sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals.
- Conduct research and analysis of local and national planning policy.
- Prepare planning appraisals and strategic planning reports.
- Use the Planning Portal for application submission and post-submission monitoring.
- Support negotiations and attend planning-related meetings.
- Prepare planning appeal documentation and policy representations.
- Contribute to client projects and support senior planners with ongoing instructions.
About You:
- Graduate with a relevant qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline.
- An understanding of the UK planning system is essential.
- Confident working with Microsoft Office and related planning software.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with excellent written reporting abilities.
- Able to work independently and as part of a wider team.
- Highly organised with strong prioritisation and time management skills.
- Clear communicator with a professional, proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
