KM226278 - Consultant Psychiatrist – Adult Eating Disorders (Outpatient and Inpatient)

NHS Scotland .NHS Grampian is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to lead and deliver high-quality care across both Outpatient and Inpatient Adult Eating Disorder services. This is a newly configured post offering an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to take on a key leadership role in helping develop the services evolution in response to the Scottish Government’s review and new specification guidance for Eating Disorders services in Scotland.Responsibilities

Provide Psychiatric leadership and clinical input to both the Grampian Eating Disorder Service (GEDS) and the Eden Unit, a regional specialist inpatient facility.Lead and deliver high-quality care across Outpatient and Inpatient Adult Eating Disorders services.Involve in the training and development of resident doctors; actively contribute to delivering medical education.Support service development in response to policy guidance and evolving digitalisation of services.Qualifications and Requirements

Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC (licence to practise must be in place prior to starting).Evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register; or CESR / CESR (CP).Alternatively, applicants may possess a CESR / CESR (CP) and be considered for a Locum Consultant post (up to 12 months) if no substantive appointment is made; during locum employment, an application to obtain CESR / CESR (CP) can be made.UK-trained candidates should have evidence of higher specialist training; those not listed on the GMC Specialist Register may be considered for a Locum appointment.Desirable/Additional Information
