Do you have the passion and drive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people?We are looking for enthusiastic residential care workers to join our team, building strong relationships and fostering a warm, supportive, and rewarding environment for the children and young people in our care.No two days are the same in this dynamic and fulfilling role. From planning engaging activities and providing one-on-one support to accompanying young people on off-site trips, each day presents new challenges and opportunities. As a residential care worker, you’ll need to be adaptable, flexible, and skilled at reading situations to help guide young people towards making positive choices.For this role, whilst experience is preferred it is not necessary – if you have a positive, can-do attitude and the passion to make a real, meaningful difference to the lives of children and young people then this is the perfect role for you.Key responsibilities

Providing emotional support during challenging timesFostering ambition in young people, assisting them in achieving their goals and maximising their potentialOffering support in the educational pursuits of young individualsMaintaining accurate records and preparing written reports for planning meetings, reviews or any other meetings as directed by the line managerEmpowering young people to actively participate in decision-making about their lives and futureActing as an advocate in meetings where the young person is the subject of discussionEncouraging community engagement, attending off-site activities, and expanding their personal social networksMeeting the needs of children and young people, organising social activities and maintaining the home (laundry, cooking, cleaning, shopping etc.)Qualifications/Experience/Requirements

Minimum age requirement: 21 years oldFull UK driving license preferable but not essentialNo prior experience necessary, only a commitment and passion for working with young peopleMust have availability for sleep-in shiftsBenefits

£30 additional payment per sleep-in shiftEnhanced DBS coveredComprehensive induction and training provided2-3 shifts per week for an excellent work/life balanceRota provided 4 weeks in advanceNote
